Voices of Acadiana
The purpose of VOICES is to promote public support and bring awareness of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Elder Abuse and Child Abuse through community education and advocacy by sharing stories of hope, courage, and strength. VOICES seeks to break the silence that enables abusers and VOICES empowers survivors to take a stand by raising their voice. Although VOICES has been in existence in other parts of the nation since 2011, we are just beginning a VOICES chapter here.
Our Mission
The mission of VOICES of Acadiana is to advocate for victims of domestic violence by actively working towards systems change, domestic violence education and awareness, and survivor outreach in order to break the generational cycle of abuse in families. VOICES of Acadiana is led by survivors working to break the silence by empowering survivors to take a stand against domestic violence. Use Your Voice = Break the Silence
