Kelsey Sanders

Board of Directors

Chair
Kelsey is a full-time graduate student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette studying Business Administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. After completing the MBA program, Kelsey plans on opening her own health and wellness business focusing on the body as a whole through personal training, nutritional guidance and mental awareness. Kelsey also wants to use her MBA to become a restaurateur, opening various restaurants in Lafayette, surrounding areas and eventually in other states. As a survivor of teen domestic violence, Kelsey believes it is her duty to raise awareness about domestic violence and believes that it does not belong in the household, classroom, work environment or anywhere else. Her passion for raising public awareness about domestic violence has increased her community involvement within the city of Lafayette. Kelsey’s community involvement includes serving as the vice president of the board of directors for Faith House as well as serving as the Chair of the VOICES of Acadiana committee. The mission of VOICES of Acadiana is to advocate for victims of domestic violence by actively working towards system change, domestic violence education and awareness and survivor outreach to break the generational cycle of abuse. In her spare time, Kelsey enjoys cooking new recipes found on Pinterest, spending time with family and friends, working out, and mentoring the youth.
