Education:

Tonya Bolden-Ball holds a Master of Science in Leadership and a Bachelor of General Studies degree with a concentration in Behavioral Sciences.

Professional Experience:

As a trainer, facilitator, and motivational speaker, Tonya uses the lessons and experiences she has attained from life to speak to people about maximizing their potential in order to reach the next level. Her professional career spans over 17 years including serving as a domestic violence client advocate, operating a shelter for homeless women and children, project director for an alcohol prevention program and principal of an alternative school. She recently served as the Executive Director of CASA of St. Landry, Inc.,

Community Involvement:

Whether it’s through the numerous community coalitions she serves on, her persistence and dedication keep her motivated to empower, educate, and elevate her community.

Her community involvement includes a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Junior Achievement board member and volunteer, mentor and board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana, Northside High Alumni volunteer.

Tonya is a graduate of the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce Leadership Lafayette-Class XXV, a member of the Louisiana Women’s Policy and Research Commission and is a national delegate for the Vision 2020 project of Drexel University

Family:

She is married to Kirk R. Ball and they are the parents of two children, Trevor and Kennedi.
